Tyren is the only player on this team to make significant improvements over each of the past four years. He puts in more work on his own outside of practice than anyone else on this team, and that's doing drills and not just playing pickup games.
As of today, coach Bustle had not heard that Tyren would try to play football.

I took it completely differently, I took it as that he was better at basketball, but may have had more passion for football. The game of basketball came easier to him than football did. Still, his physical attributes are too good for the football team to ignore. As long as he gains even a decent knowledge of the playbook, he could seriously be a difference maker.
You have no idea how hard Tyren Johnson works for his team. His attitude is outstanding. He has put as much work in as any Cajun athlete on campus right now. There is no way he could have improved as much in four years without effort. Were you to go to a basketball game, you would see this. He may not always play well but he always plays hard. If everyone on the team worked as hard as he did, they would have a winning record now.
I would be surprised if Tyren Johnson is not playing pro ball somewhere next year.
Has anybody heard of someone doing this?????? He coaches in Lafayette!!!!
Mike, I wasn't saying Tyren was going to play football.

In fact, Tyren told me on Friday that he's totally focused on basketball and should be. Quite a lot has happened since August when he told me about his possible interest in football. People overlook the fact he gave a 70 percent chance of playing football at the time. He's improved enough since last season to get a shot at playing pro basketball somewhere after this season.
