Default New turf: Last shots I will show until completed...

Just look at the lines around home plate. Something seems wrong here. The line are too wide and they are touching the home plate..... Your opinion. Just got back from the park and it looks ok....They say the camera makes you look fat. So I guess the lines look fat.

These are the last shots I will be posting until job is complete in 5-7 day weather permiting.
But I will be taking shots until they are finish.

Lining up to lay in home plate lines.

Final touches on the mound. All hand work now.

    Getting it level.

You know how pitchers have to have it right......The mound is completed and covered with a turp...

That's good, let's lay in the lines....

Cutting white turf for the lines.....

Starting to look like a baseball field........

Wasn't getting to may hits so I thought I would wait until completion to post any more shots. They have the infield marked. They will finish marking the coaches box and down the 1st and 3rd base lines tomorrow. All they will have to do is the warning track, laying down the sand and rubber and brush it in. Walking in the outfield feels just like grass. I was told maybe 5 days if the weather is good..

I'm sure they'll still have to cut in the logo info as well. I think this would be a sewn in piece as well.

The logo's will be glued in. They set them in place, mark them out, shave the turf and glue them in place. Just like they did the football field.

A large : "RAGIN CAJUNS" like they have on the football field. About 40' across. Now that would look awesome.

keep the logos outside the foul lines... that's for softball and little league.

Just because you aren't getting many hits or comments, doesn't mean they aren't greatly appreciated or enjoyed. The construction cam is nice, but gets stale. The detail of your pics is great.

And YES, the lines DO look obnoxious.

Just a question, from some of your pics, it looks like you can see the seams running along the outfield. Is that really viewable from the seats? You can't see this on football fields becuase the 5 yd markers cover them up. I haven't noticed this on other turf fields, but also haven't seen many of them, either.

...and Texas. I believe they have a HUGE Longhorn in Center Field. However, with them, they have a park with seats and camera angles high enough to make out what's out there. I don't know if it would work as well at the Tigue...maybe from the bleachers. I'm not sure if I would like it or not, but I damn sure wouldn't want it to be the pepper.

Can't we put the live one in a cage outside the stadium and use large annual federal grants to pay for the upkeep? lol
