Pineville 2016 guard Danyale Bayonne commits to Louisiana

"Louisiana's girls basketball program picked up a commitment Wednesday evening from 2016 prospect Danyale Bayonne. The 5-foot-9 guard is heading into her final season at Pineville High and saw an uptick in her recruitment this summer playing for Louisiana Lady Select, according to Select coach K.J. Lee.

Bayonne also held offers from Grambling and Missouri State among others before choosing the Ragin' Cajuns, who went 23-12 last season en route to capturing the 2015 Women's Basketball Invitational title. Lee said Bayonne was encouraged by the direction of the program, its coaches and the opportunity to play close to home."
