Trash talking in baseball geez you can tell football is over. Lets talk trash in softball, volleyball, and table tennis too!! :lol: I can watch a little bit of baseball when its toward the end of the season close to regionals and still can't even sit through the whole game.

Why is that? There aren't many sports that I find entertaining other than football and basketball. Don't get me wrong baseball is better than nothing in the offseason, I just can't wait for August to roll around!

Like we had our starters in there after coming off a tough weekend taking one out of three form I think Arkansas State. Then having to ture around and play conference that weekend in a rain shorten series. A double header on sunday. I think you sent six to the mound that Wed. night.....

Why do we always try to compare ourselves to LSU. They are a better program, and that's the bottom line. Baseball is a funny game where the underdog can definitely win. They have the hardware and facilities to prove that they are elite, and we don't. That doesn't mean that we won't beat them every now and then. LSU Everything > ULL Everything (sports that is) But, we are all from LA and should be proud of all the universities in the state. I don't get why there is so much hatred b/w the schools. We need to quit being jealous and start growing our relationships with each other.

UL baseball was extremely competitive with LSU in 2002 and for no real reason LSU decided to quit playing UL for 7 years. LSU Softball jumped on the banned wagon and still won't play.

Well, the hatred goes much deeper and longer than many of us here. It has a lot to do with the Louisiana Political Landscape that was developed years ago that clearly favored LSU over ALL state schools and was kept in place to make sure we all knew our place on a collegiate level. Please do not necessarily take the dislike as jealousy. Many here understand what type of athletic programs LSU has and that they are on a level that we will likely never get to. However, success and love for one's university are all relative the individuals that are judging. Most here would love to see us more competitive in our conference with a future move into a more lucrative and prestigeous conference but we also know that we will not be a BCS school and are fine with it. Jealousy is just an easy conclusion to arrive at without knowing the history or having been a part of it at some level.

Of course, you are absolutely right. We need to stop going to their board and starting sh]t. Its all our fault.
