This is really big news.

If Shawn was good enough to make this team, that means he worked his tail off. ....

Don't know if you've been following all this....but Shawn was listed at 6-9 last year. They measured him before the tryouts. He's 6-10 1/2. He'll be listed at 6-11.

6-11 wide body that can play outside in is a much better NBA resumè than 6-9. I think one of the guys he beat out for a spot was Onomatopoeia Nigel Hayes from Wisconsin. Very Talented. I agree, Shawn must be working tail off.

Can't wait to see him with a true 5 on the court.

Congrats to Shawn. Anyone's opinion of the job Marlin is doing change in light of the last two years? Or is he just lucky to have these two players? Little of both?

Michael Allen, as I recall, made one of the US national teams (not Pan Am). I don't recall any other USL/UL basketball player, other than Elfrid and Shawn to make a national team.

I'm pretty sure Toney made the team & led them in scoring. This helped him to become a first rounder.
