I am really interested in who is coaching the USA Pan American Team now and when the games will be on TV. Does anyone know?

    This is really big news.

If Shawn was good enough to make this team, that means he worked his tail off. Every minute of every practice.

It's no secret Shawn would rather play than practice. And it's also no secret he took some plays off from time to time.

But, after the NBA people told him he wasn't ready combined with this experience, I'm going to suggest Shawn has learned a "few" things (pun intended.)

If he brings all that back with him, here's a message to our opponents

    Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Don't know if you've been following all this....but Shawn was listed at 6-9 last year. They measured him before the tryouts. He's 6-10 1/2. He'll be listed at 6-11.

I bet you're right, Jay. I think Shawn might have stared an NBA career worth nothing directly in the face, and I bet that was unexpected.

There's no doubt in my mind that for him to get from where he was at the final whistle of last season to team USA means he has listened to some folks and worked his tail off.

That's how Elfrid got his, so it can be done.

Also... Shawn isn't going to Toronto to sit for a week. 5 games in 5 days, so I bet he gets decent minutes.

This is a really big deal for Shawn, for UL, and for recruiting.

Good points. I've never questioned his ability but sometimes his motivation and maturity have been ?s. Perhaps this marks a big step forward in those areas. If so, we have a lot to look forward to this year!
