If some of you are planning on making the trip, & plan on staying in Ruston, I would book soon cause hotel space is limited. I'm assuming most of y'all will stay close to team though..maybe West Monroe (about 25 min drive) but another alternative (but about an hour away) is SHV/Bossier. Plenty of restaurants & hotel space whether it be casinos, downtown Hilton or hotels out by Harrahs Racetrack.. there's also the LA Board Walk or our local breweries (Great Raft, Flying Heart) to hang out at.
Bonus, if you stay in Shreveport, the morning of the game you can follow the huge line of people driving from Shreveport to cheer on Tech. They do own that market, you know.

Packed only if you win, right? 😉 Why can't the rest of these knot heads be as sane as you are.?

    but..but...but... Ruston/Shreveport is a major market..................

RV'ing around the stadium is exclusive to LTAC members, when my grandparents brought their RV to Tech they would go to Lincoln Parish Park, it's a little out of town and don't know if there is anywhere closer.

    LINCOLN PARISH PARK

Info on Tailgating, after the nightmare I had last year getting tailgating at the game here in Lafayette I'm hoping our Admin's will work together a little more. We had to call the local news and raise a fuss that we weren't being allowed to Tailgate anywhere. The Eunice(?) police that were working detail and were supposed to get us out of the grassy area around Blackham even said it wasn't right after I pulled out the print out from ULL Alumni page about visitor tailgating and got the event staff to change their mind.

First go to this Google map
    https://www.google.com/maps/@32.5318533,-92.6553815,17z

First- On the North corner of Stadium Blvd and Bulldog Dr their is first come/first serve pay for parking, and adjacent to that is small open area that anyone can tailgate in; forewarning usually the HB Frats tailgate here.

Second- When we played NW St. Tech setup an area in cooperation with their Alumni group across on the West side of Tech drive directly across from J.C. Love Field. I believe their alumni group charged for parking and paid something to Tech, don't remember the details.

Finally- Anywhere around Thomas Assembly Center that is not concrete/blacktop/gravel is open; only LTAC members can park in the area but you can come by drop your tent then go park your vehicle elsewhere.

My group and a lot of young alums tailgate on the West corner of Bulldog Drive/Stadium Blvd. Look forward to the game, especially after last years outcome

OMG! Apparently everything I posted went completely over your head....if you need suggestions, let me know.
I'm not from La originally so I find this quite humorous, but why do some people from Laffy make it a point to trash basically everything outside of Acadiana? It's Sad.

How lucky are we as University of Louisiana fans??

Imagine visitors coming to our board asking travel advice and we have to give them hotel and restaurant recommendations in Baton Rouge or New Orleans.

    That has to suck.

I may be misremembering the name, but wasnt Rabb's the restaurant that doubled as a bar/ club?
When I visited there in the early 2000's that seemed to be the main spot for night life in the area. I'm too old for that now lol, but just curious if it was the same place.

Very helpful. The food options are what they are. And if people don't bring their own food to grill, you're being very helpful letting them know what/where to go. Much appreciated.

Why we talking about Ruston food? Lets just pick up the W at their crappy field and get the heck out of there ASAP.
