Lol! Some of you sound like some snooty-ars beeches from River Ranch....If your typical game day experience consists of going to Ruth's or Drago's, do us all a favor and stay your ___ in Laffy...
If some of you are planning on making the trip, & plan on staying in Ruston, I would book soon cause hotel space is limited. I'm assuming most of y'all will stay close to team though..maybe West Monroe (about 25 min drive) but another alternative (but about an hour away) is SHV/Bossier. Plenty of restaurants & hotel space whether it be casinos, downtown Hilton or hotels out by Harrahs Racetrack.. there's also the LA Board Walk or our local breweries (Great Raft, Flying Heart) to hang out at.
We were going to go, but have now scheduled vacation to WDW. I hate missing out. I think I was at the last game we played in Ruston. Wasn't that in 2004 or so?
might try Griff's but focus on doing it before the game as a lot of Tech folks go there after a Tech win to celebrate and it'll prob be packed with Dawg fans for several hours after this game.
also Dubach mini mart has a pretty mean crawfish pie and sausage on a stick.
We'll have 8 for sure, but probably 10 by the time this game rolls around.
I assume that most of you will cook @ tailgate like we do but when game gets closer, I'll post some of my suggested EATs for Ruston (there's plenty of decent Gameday food in that town) & S'Port if anyone is interested.....And I would highly recommend NOT going to a Griffs anywhere unless you like greasy fast food. Dubach?! C'mon ChowCajun, you just BSing.
No one from the Cajun Nation "cook@tailgate" like Tech does, that would be an insult! Where in the world have you ever heard that Ruston has great food, or of any RedNeck cooking show, books written on RedNeck Cooking, or chef's in world renown restaurant's? If any "they are any they are FEW" and are NO where nearly as edible, scrumcish as anything, Cajun!
