Classic RP: One thread suggesting gimmicks to raise our attendance, another bashing Tech's attendance.

If you're serious, that's really shatty. PLEASE stay at home if that's the case. Sounds like people like you already have their minds made up that their going to have a really bad time, so DON'T come.
It wasn't an issue for us Tech fans to spend our money in Laffy & we certainly wouldn't purposely try to penalize area businesses if they happen to reside in the same town as a rival school. For awhile now, (I for one) believed that UL would be a good addition to CUSA simply for the renewal of an old rivalry, good competition, easy travel, etc. but if this is the way your fanbase would "return the favor", to little ole Ruston, I would definitely change my tune. No wonder ULM fans hold y'all in such high regard.
Message board banter. I'm sure a lot of posts on BB&B don't reflect the entire Tech fan base.

It was a joke. I didnt know Tech fans were so sensitive, calm down. If 10 rooms get booked, Ruston will have the biggest economic boost in years.

I'm completely calm but your attitude is pretty prevalent here. Economic boost? You do know that RSN is one of the richest towns in La, right? Don't be stupid.

Not to get into a ______ing match, but wiki doesn't seem to think so...
    Rust on:
"The median income for a household in the city was $23,001, and the median income for a family was $37,394. Males had a median income of $33,408 versus $20,413 for females. The per capita income for the city was $14,573. About 22.1% of families and 32.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 34.1% of those under age 18 and 17.6% of those age 65 or over."

When you factor in the size of the town, those numbers aren't too impressive

As a reference point, here's lafayette s numbers:
"The median income for a household in the city was $35,996, and the median income for a family was $47,783. Males had a median income of $37,729 versus $23,606 for females. The per capita income for the city was $21,031. About 11.6% of families and 16.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 18.3% of those under age 18 and 14.5% of those age 65 or over."

Of course you'd say that....but it doesn't matter what I say, google it. If all I did was visit North Laffy, I'd think the same. Your travels must not take you through North Ruston or Squire Creek.
