The last thing we need to do is drop thousands of dollars in the Ruston market. Just look at the way they count fans in their stadium...they will count hotel room income as part of their budget!

Yes, they've split the names, Beau Vines is the steak house side and The Revelry is the bar side. There is also 3 Docs Brewhouse (used to be The Stick and a few other things) take Alabama West past the stadium and it's on the right.
You can head back to Lafayette if you want, but after tailgating all day, 6pm kickoff and game finish not until probably 10, plus traffic (there is some), getting back at 3-4am doesn't sound fun (or safe). I may enjoy harassing ULL grads/fans but would hate to see anybody hurt or get ticketed (Dry Prong, Dodson & Hodge!) because of a stubborn rivalry.
So with that hotels
Tech Drive
Super 8 (not bad, right next to stadium, and cheap)
167
Hampton Inn
Holiday Inn Express
Relax Inn (older hotel/motel)
Kings Inn (older motel)
Sleep Inn & Suites
Farmerville Hwy
Days Inn (older motel)
Comfort Inn
Fairfield Inn & Suites
Lincoln Motel (don't recommend at all)
There is one B&B Lewis House Victorian B&B near downtown.
Travel Inn off of W California Ave but it's kind of out of the way.
Appreciate the info. Beau Vines, when it was Rabbs, smelled old and musty. This was back in the mid 2000's when I was bringing much needed tax revenue to Lincoln Parish. As Beau Vines, has it been updated? New smell, new paint, etc. Steaks were pretty good if you could get over the smell of the place.

Seriously bro? I really hope you don't speak for the majority of your fanbase. I'd like to think that we're all "adults" here (friendly banter aside)...So you would go out of your way to NOT spend any money in the Ruston area simple because of Tech. If you're serious, that's really shatty. PLEASE stay at home if that's the case. Sounds like people like you already have their minds made up that their going to have a really bad time, so DON'T come.
It wasn't an issue for us Tech fans to spend our money in Laffy & we certainly wouldn't purposely try to penalize area businesses if they happen to reside in the same town as a rival school. For awhile now, (I for one) believed that UL would be a good addition to CUSA simply for the renewal of an old rivalry, good competition, easy travel, etc. but if this is the way your fanbase would "return the favor", to little ole Ruston, I would definitely change my tune. No wonder ULM fans hold y'all in such high regard.
