When word came Saturday, Christian Ringo was at home with family members in Jackson, Mississippi.

A scout from Green Bay was on the other end of the telephone, and he soon handed off to Packers general manager Ted Thompson.

Another player that may be the most interesting in Christian Ringo, a 6th round pick this year out of Louisiana-Lafayette. The undersized rookie defensive lineman (listed at 6'1″ 277 as a senior in college) has supposedly added some weight and should be a player that pushes for some playing time this year. He was an incredibly disruptive force up front for the Ragin' Cajuns and finished with 20 tackles for loss along with 11.5 sacks as a senior defensive tackle. If he's able to carry over some of that ability, he could find himself lining up next to another undersized disruption machine in Mike Daniels.
