LOUISIANA La — Lousiana's head softball coach Stefni Lotief announced Wednesday the receipt of a National letter-of-intent from Berwick High School product Hillary Guidry, marking the perennially ranked and 2003 College World Series participant's sixth recruit for the 2004 season.

A native of Berwick, Guidry joins the three-time defending Sun Belt Conference champions and eighth-ranked program from Berwick where she was the 2003 District 5-3A MVP and helped lead the Panthers of head coach Lloyd Burchfield to a state championship.

“Hillary is a proven winner,” Lotief said. “She is not afraid of hard work or the challenge of helping this team to reach its goal of a national championship.
