Those sportswriters sure do love LSU. Tony only gets 5 votes for coach of the year, while PM gets 14. LSU was supposed to be in the CWS. UL was not supposed to be in a SR. You tell me who did a better coaching job.

There is no doubt that that Tony did the better coaching job this year. However, when you deal with the media or anyone else who is mostly going to look at a team on paper, a team that's number 1 and in the CWS is going to win just based on window dressing. If you take the time to really look at what both teams were left with after last year and what they went on to achieve this year, what Tony and this team has done is FAR more impressive. Don't get me wrong, coaching a tiger team to the CWS that was stacked after last year and ranked in preseason top 5 solely based on what they were expected to do is obviously a good job. Resurrecting a team who lost what UL lost and taking them from a near .500 midseason record to a Super Regional is a better job.
