2015 Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread

May I suggest that it be your first bourbon of the night. I find that when I am tasting several bourbons the true taste does not come out. Please let me know your thoughts afterwards.

Will do! I'm not the bourbon connoisseur that some of you on this board appear to be, but I have been known to get a little buzz going from time-to-time when consuming certain liquid libations. As a matter of fact, when sipping a few, I can occasionally be found acting like a certain kind of barnyard fowl sometime seen lurking around a certain Ragin Cajun Tailgating area!!!!!!!!!!

Craig I didn't have any but Hammer cracked it open last night. He said he enjoyed it thoroughly! It was a little warm and muggy last night, I had to crush lots of gin and tonic!

It was sublime. Paired well with the Monte Cristo and the fireworks display.

It is not showing an age or date bottled, but I found this on a website.

Because someone posted in the beer thread. Has anyone tasted this bourbon? I had it Thursday evening and I was not overly impressed. It had Scotch finish in my opinion, just curious if anyone else thought the same thing.

Ok everyone it is still summer and I still love bourbon.
I picked this up today and had my first taste of it tonight. Very different than anything I have ever tasted. Before I give my opinion of the bourbon, has anyone tried this before?

I may have to start doing a bourbon a day until football season. As to the bottle above has a very smokey flavor to it. I love it because I have bad sinus and this taste really comes out in the bourbon. I also love the chipotle flavored Cholula hot sauce for the same reason.
