Back to the more important things of summer. I just picked up a bottle of Eagle Rare 10 year old and a bottle of W.L. Weller 12 year old. Looking forward to spending the weekend with my little ones.

I picked up some Sam Houston Whiskey yesterday at lunch and busted it open last night. Very smooth for the price and being from Texas

I haven't had that one but I have tried the Garrison Brothers Texas whiskey. Pretty good.

I have not, but I have heard some good things about it. I did have Texas 1835 Whiskey this weekend. Not the best, but I was able to drink it for a couple of hours.

Ok picked up a bottle of Bulleit Rye for Manhattans. I must say that I have mis-judged Rye whiskeys over the years. I did not know that Basil Hayden's had rye in their mix. I am starting to broaden my horizons when it comes to bourbons.

Also Albertons has the Bulliet Rye and Bulliet Bourbon for $9 off, Basil Hayden's was $5 off. Lots of specials going on at Albertons and the store on Ambassador Caffery has a very nice selections of high/mid bourbons.

I prefer rye in my old fashioned's.....I just finished off a bottle of Sazerac Rye last night.
