Ok everyone it is still summer and I still love bourbon.
I picked this up today and had my first taste of it tonight. Very different than anything I have ever tasted. Before I give my opinion of the bourbon, has anyone tried this before?

I may have to start doing a bourbon a day until football season. As to the bottle above has a very smokey flavor to it. I love it because I have bad sinus and this taste really comes out in the bourbon. I also love the chipotle flavored Cholula hot sauce for the same reason.

You posted the first review 2 days ago. So you should be finished with the whisky right?

I went to Houston and Dallas last week. I picked up over 20 new bourbons. I also have some new ones coming in the mail early next week. We might be here a while.

Picked up a few Texas whiskeys?

I tried one of the Garrison Brothers whiskeys around the Christmas holidays. Good stuff.

I did I picked up the full set of Balcones, Red River Single Barrel and Red River Canadian blend and others. I am not really sure what the others ones are off the top of my head. I did pick up 5 different bottles of Booker's, the 2013-07, 2014-06, 2014-07, 2015-01, 2015-02, each one has it's own unique flavor and all are barrel proof ranging from 126 to 134 proof. Another one I picked up is "Bib & Tucker" that is pictured below. Very smooth for their first batch.

Are you on Facebook, if so you can read some of the reviews their, https://www.facebook.com/LafayetteBourbon?fref=ts. We are in the process of setting up our own website. The reviews are written by myself and my boss. We are hoping to get others to start meeting once a month in Lafayette with a dinner once a year. I have a friend who is a private chef and will create meals that go well with bourbon and the wives/girlfriends will be invited.

Will do, I have gone a little crazy with my bourbon lately. I really love the Balcones Brimstone, but I also realize it will not be for everyone. I poured 2 fingers of it last night and sipped on it for almost two hours. To me it was the long smokey finish that I really enjoyed.

I've been nursing a single bottle of Crown Royal Black all Summer long.
