Saw Clown Shoes at Whole Foods this afternoon. Forgot the name of the IPA or DIPA they had but I did buy a The Barista to try out.

Looking at the the Whole Foods list on Tap Hunter, you Lafayette baws could go get some fantastic pours right now. Amongst the list includes:
Abita Bourbon Imperial Coffee Stout
Bayou Teche Peche IPA
Bell's Two Hearted
Founders Kentucky Bourbon Stout
Ghost in the Machine
Prairie Birthday Bomb
Prairie Phantasmagoria
You'd be hard pressed to find a better collection of good beers in one bar throughout the vast majority of the country.
Go get y'all some!
Of course, I always have to muster up the courage.
Weird thing about the Lafayette location. At the Houston/burb locations, you can order a pint then walk around the grocery store while drinking your beer. The bar area is completely opened to the store.
Yet in Lafayette, in South Louisiana where drive-thru daiquiri spots are prolific and booze in public laws more lax than TX, the WF has doors to its bar and you are not allowed to step outside those doors into the rest of the store with your beer.
Makes no damn sense.
Me too Z. I'm gonna hijack the thread for a minute. Got a story for you.
Have hunted in Colorado every year since 1994 until I came down with health issues in 2009. Missed a few years then was able to go back. After tagging a mule deer on one trip, my ranch owner buddy watched as we processed the organs so we could cook them up at our campsite. He's western, cowboy as can be but like most of the locals is more discriminating in what they eat than we are. He looked at me and said "I know why you've been sick. You've been eating too many of those guts."
Cracked us up. Maybe you had to be there.
OK. Sorry for the hijack. Carry on.
For its style, it's one of the best beers in the world. Just look up the reviews for it. 4 packs were flying off of shelves at every specialty liquor store in Lafayette last year. I had to end up buying some in Covington. That's why I was very surprised the Whole Foods Bar actually had it, and on draft. Because of the longer lead time to make, it's a brew that is only available in limited quantities.
Yoga pants in Whole Foods.
Lots of them.
