Thread: MLB Draft 2015

  1. #1

    Default MLB Draft 2015

When: Round 1 begins June 8, 2015 5 PM CDT
    Where: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/draft/...afttracker.jsp

I am wishing BT the best of luck today as he turns a page in his storybook career. Hopefully, he is picked early by a team with huge holes in the middle of their infield. I am hopeful Tros gets picked high enough to make his dream come true sooner than later.

I am hopeful our EXTREMELY bright recruits understand the difference between playing with MEN, in front of thousands, at the highest levels of college baseball and toiling in anonymity in the bowels of pro ball, while learning their craft.

Good luck to all this week!

You know every kid is in a different financial situation. And I totally get that. I've always hated watching some of these kids take off for peanuts and a plane ride especially high school kids. Some kids don't understand how much money they can make coming to school. And now with the way the draft has changed....they can't pick u in round 30 and offer u 10th round money. At a mid major loosing 1 kid to a BS signing bonus can sometimes be the difference between a good season and a regional appearance

Which recruits should we be keeping any eye on early in the draft? Which ones are likely to go pro if drafted early?

Would anyone be willing to help me maintain a "Cajuns in the minors" Twitter to keep track of our pros and draftees?

It would be a ton of work to do by myself, but if a few of us work on it together, I'm sure many Cajuns fans would be grateful to know how our Grinders and signees are doing.

Sensley, Nick Lee, Hogan Harris, Ryne Ray are the guys who should go in the top 15 rounds.

Where is Trosclair supposed to be drafted? I assume big middle infielders with pop are on scouts radars, but is he being talked about as a draft prospect?

And the rounds won't matter as much as the over the slot offer in money.
