I thought we were done losing 2-3 to App State. What a remarkable turn around!

Ditto! Told someone last week, it all started the Friday night in Funroe, when we took the Rock, Paper, Scissors competition!!

Exactly. Disappointed in the loss and anemic performance at the plate when it counted but then I never expected to get this far. Pitchers did a hell of a job in the super regional.

Yes, our batting average with runners on base was pathetic. However, several of those balls were hit hard but just right at someone. I recall Trahan roping one to center field and the double play line drive off Girouard's bat may have been the key play of the game. However, we were fortunate things went our way in Houston and the fortunes simply turned this weekend. Not too surprised that it did as we knew the Tigers would not help us out as Rice and Houston did.

He will compete with Kennon Fontenot for short stop position. Poncho signed with LSU, but because they oversign positions, they later pulled his scholarship. We have a JUCO outfielder coming in I think l.

I'm sure everyone knows about the two well talked about pitchers in Nic Lee and Hogan Harris. Harris is big, hard throwing Lefty and Lee is big, hard throwing Righty.
Earlier in the year, at a showcase, Perfect game has a way to measure revolutions per second and amount of movement on pitches. Hogan Harris (STM) was rated #2 in the nation. His mother played softball for UL and his father is PA announcer for softball games. Big UL fans.
Nic Lee is from South Beauregard HS.

Hope this little run down help. I left a few guys out. Key is to now cross your fingers that these guys all get drafted round 7 or 8 or later so they all come to campus.
---Do we have S-ships left to give and what are we looking for now???

They did not out play us at all. Like many said, a hit here and there we win. Game one was ours if not for the 9ths inning HR. Game two was ours if we get that hit from the 1th to the 6th inning. We could have been up by 3-4+ runs. Then I don't think they would have had that 4 run top of the 8th with the lead we could have had. Give a pitcher a lead he wins...........

If the Angels take BT can we start calling that club Cajuns West? That would make 4 we sent out there in the last two years.

Thanks for the run down. I knew Hogan's dad's name was Rob Harris. Didn't know if it was King Rob or not. No wonder The King has been less frequent on his PA duties over the last few softball seasons.

Maybe Rob can switch sports for the next 3 years!

I wonder if Robe might think about putting the redshirt on Harris and Lee? As well as our freshman pitchers performed this year, I think we can wait a season to develop some more young talent.
