Yes, our batting average with runners on base was pathetic. However, several of those balls were hit hard but just right at someone. I recall Trahan roping one to center field and the double play line drive off Girouard's bat may have been the key play of the game. However, we were fortunate things went our way in Houston and the fortunes simply turned this weekend. Not too surprised that it did as we knew the Tigers would not help us out as Rice and Houston did.
They did not out play us at all. Like many said, a hit here and there we win. Game one was ours if not for the 9ths inning HR. Game two was ours if we get that hit from the 1th to the 6th inning. We could have been up by 3-4+ runs. Then I don't think they would have had that 4 run top of the 8th with the lead we could have had. Give a pitcher a lead he wins...........
