Now can we recruit some damn hitters to go with the top 10 pitching staff ???

Anyone that complains about a single dam thing right now is brain dead, mentally retarded or an imbecile..
Tough time for all, but this is not the time to bitshh.
I really enjoyed the SBC tourney and postseason run these guys put together. They were grinders to the end. LSU was no more spectacular at the plate, either, for 98% of the contests. Our batting, and theirs, was shut down by some really solid pitching.
Thanks to the team for a really special season. And as for future years, we unquestionably have a lot to look forward to. Geaux Cajuns!
I may be wrong, but I don't recall anyone predicting this Cajun team would finish the season 2 games away from the CWS. Unless you predicted a berth in the 2015 CWS, you should not be disappointed in any way, shape or form about how this season turned out.
I'm glad our guys kept fighting. It wasn't lopsided as some Tiger fans thought it would be by any stretch. We just made too many errors and couldn't finish when we got on base just like last night. Win or lose I'm still a Cajun. Geaux Cajuns!
Great season. This weekend did not fall our way. Last weekend, we were outplayed for the majority of the first two games regarding hits and base runners, however found a way to win in the late innings. LSU did the same to us this weekend. Our boys outplayed LSU for 16 of the 18 innings. This was a very well played series. Sucks to be on the bad side of a loss. As bad as we all feel, imagine how Shugg, Milhorn, Davis, Powell, Butler and BT feel right now knowing they have played their last game in a Cajun uniform. There have been many successful teams for UL over the past 5 years including all sports. This baseball team over the past month in my opinion has been the most exciting to watch. Their "no quit" mentality has been inspirational. Thanks for a great season guys.
I don't think it drops his stock. If it does, then bregmans does as we'll. they had a 2 hits combined in the postseason. Can u believe that? As good as he is I'm not sure he goes in the first round. I hope I'm wrong, but it's just my thoughts.
BT is a first round lock. Angels organization loves him.
Anyway, can someone with knowledge of the situation post a run down of which 2016 signees we need to keep an eye on as far as draft position and possibility of them leaving?
I don't think it hurts his stock at all. I hate to be a conspiracy nut, but this reminds me of something I've seen before with cajun ball players. Robe gets worried about some scouts tinkering with player mechanics while they're still in school (saying try this, or do this) and instead of sticking to what the coaches are telling them, they are doing stuff that the scouts want. The Most prominent person who did this IMO was Danny Farquhar who is a great pitcher who is in the majors right now, but his last year with the cajuns was nothing to write home about and I remember hearing that this happened.
Ultimately, BT's stock is fine, he's still a first rounder. He's a short stop with some pop and is a great fielder, and a putrid post season while facing some great pitchers won't affect his draft prospect.
Ryne Ray is a talented freshman coming in with a strong arm. He can play catcher or first. Steven Sinsley from LSUE can play first and has an amazing bat. He had something like 27 homers this year with LSUE. The kid looks like a middle linebacker. Dylan Poncho is from Kinder (where BT is from). He will compete with Kennon Fontenot for short stop position. Poncho signed with LSU, but because they oversign positions, they later pulled his scholarship. We have a JUCO outfielder coming in I think l.
I'm sure everyone knows about the two well talked about pitchers in Nic Lee and Hogan Harris. Harris is big, hard throwing Lefty and Lee is big, hard throwing Righty.
Earlier in the year, at a showcase, Perfect game has a way to measure revolutions per second and amount of movement on pitches. Hogan Harris (STM) was rated #2 in the nation. His mother played softball for UL and his father is PA announcer for softball games. Big UL fans.
Nic Lee is from South Beauregard HS.
Hope this little run down help. I left a few guys out. Key is to now cross your fingers that these guys all get drafted round 7 or 8 or later so they all come to campus.
back near the end of the regular season, with the way this team was losing very winnable games, i never expected them to get this far. for this team to be 2 games away from the world series is a credit to TR, the staff, and especially to the heart and character of these young men. thank you boys for making me so proud to be a UL fan!
