Baton Rouge Super Regional Game 2: #2 LSU vs. Louisiana

This is essentially back to back sweet sixteens in baseball. I'll flat out say, the reason people are mad is because it's LSU. Hell, it bothers me to because of their insufferable fans, but fact is, we were tasked with beating the #2 team in the country in a rebuilding year. That is hard as ____. Win or lose, this team over achieved and was a pleasure to see prove me wrong.

Sorry everyone, I just wanted to see them at least win one against LSU. This year, they did overachieve, but there is no excuse for last year, that one hurt.

Now, I agree that the best is yet to come in 2-3 years, but how many times has our leaders let us down over the past 30+ years in not taking advantage of momentum? I sure hope Farmer does not do it again, I do not trust him at all to lead this program to sustained success.

Cajun fans do not throw in the towel in the 7th inning. You ended your season early by letting go of the rope with 3 innings to go.

why do people keep saying this? yes, or pitchers are all freshman, but our batting order is entirely upper classmen..

We lost around 70% of our RBI's from last years team.

sorry.. but this school has to take advantage of every opportunity that's put in front of them. We keep expecting bigger and better, but at some point, just getting there won't be enough.

I think winning the Sun Belt Touney, then a regional was taking full advantage of opportunities this team had in front of them. Did anyone expect us to be in the postseason at all in the beginning of May? I can't say I did. Look, expectations are good. This team will have them next year. But, getting to this point after last years loses is down right incredible. I want them to win more than anything, but I'll chose losing in a super regional over going two and out in the Sun Belt Touney any day.

This Cajuns team was an inspiration to all. Against the odds a great season was achieved for the team, program, and the fans. Nothing wrong with wanting more but I'm proud of these guys. Already looking forward to next season.

Sucks to lose this series. But damn, what a GREAT season for this team. And an incredible postseason. Congrats guys - you proved all of the nay sayers wrong and turned what was "supposed" to be a rebuilding year into a sweet 16 appearance.

This is 3 solid seasons in a row and I have a feeling there are several more on the horizon.
