Can't find one clutch hit.
Can't find one clutch hit.
Maybe you have a point, but last year was extremely painful. You get to #1 AND take game 1, you should not lose the series period. Last night was just bad considering Bacon served up the win on a silver platter. You just cannot give anyone that fat pitch right in the middle!
9th inning heroics???
we need to put out an apb for that guy's brain.
Stop while you're ahead dude, you're wrong. This team has over achieved and is young. You have a point on the hitting thing, (and I'm really not sold on Talbot, I knew we'd take our lumps, but even our best hitters regressed at the plate) but calling this an embarrassment is very short sighted. This cajun team might be the most inspiring baseball team since 2000 actually with the adversity they overcame.
Robe for Nat. Coach of the year.
I think we needed to push across multiple runs in the 8th to have a chance in the 9th. Either way, if you hold anything other than pride in your heart for this club and what they've managed to accomplish - then there simply isnt any pleasing ya.
Sorry everyone, I just wanted to see them at least win one against LSU. This year, they did overachieve, but there is no excuse for last year, that one hurt.
Now, I agree that the best is yet to come in 2-3 years, but how many times has our leaders let us down over the past 30+ years in not taking advantage of momentum? I sure hope Farmer does not do it again, I do not trust him at all to lead this program to sustained success.
This is essentially back to back sweet sixteens in baseball. I'll flat out say, the reason people are mad is because it's LSU. Hell, it bothers me to because of their insufferable fans, but fact is, we were tasked with beating the #2 team in the country in a rebuilding year. That is hard as ____. Win or lose, this team over achieved and was a pleasure to see prove me wrong.
Bottom of the 9th, 6-7-8 for the Cajuns up and are a combined 0 for 9 tonight. Ugh
