Personally, I think we should use an "L" on our caps with Louisiana on our jerseys, Just like Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, etc. And, just like use of Louisiana, it is legal. We can call ourselves UL, but the uniforms reflect Louisiana both ways and no one can argue against the "L".

I've been saying this for ages. If we all got on the same page and started using "Louisiana" there's not a damn thing anyone can do.

The only thing illegal is use of UL or "University of" without the city tag. Why continue to fight the illegality? "L" is legal. "Louisiana" is legal. Use both on everything.

All we need is an abbreviated reference for the media that is not ULL and is descriptive of Louisiana.

Some options:

"LOU" works. Can't worry about Louisville. All the UTs and UMs don't worry about each other.
"LA". Could be confused with Los Angeles, but not likely since it goes with Ragin Cajuns.
We can do what the Univerties of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado do and use "LU". We should have been Louisiana University to begin with; like Ohio University. LU and LSU would be like OU and Ohio State University and we wouldn't have this problem.
"LANA" short for Louisiana like Bama is for Alabama.
"LARC" short for LA Ragin Cajuns which is on our logo. Kind of goes with RCAF.
"UL". We can stick with it because our fans are indoctrinated in it, but will continue to have opposition to it because they think it reflects our being the flagship of the UL System and it is illegal.
Just trying to be creative. Any other options?
