Somewhat true. The location of the light poles will impact where you can build/add on to the existing bleachers, so not necessarily separate. If you consider moving the lights as Phase 1 and the grandstand reno as Phase 2, then Phase 2 has a chance to begin after next season. The biggest part of the Phase 1 design, the stadium lighting, is at no place yet that would warrant construction in the coming months. But like you said, the project isn't an 8th month long project, so there is still time to get things done.

Regarding the renovations to the grandstand. I assume the chairs in the grandstand will be removed and replaced with something a lot nicer that folds and has drink holders (like Lamson).

What are the plans for the old seats that are being removed from the Tigue? I sure hope they don't end up in a dumpster. I think some fans, myself included, would be interested in getting a few (or a row) of those chairs just for the nostalgia of it. I think they could sell/auction some of those seats and give the money to the baseball team.

I'm pretty sure the chairs will be removed, along with the large chunk of concrete to which they are attached.

If I were Tony or maybe the Diamond Club I'd look at that as an option for some fundraising like they do with game jersey raffles.

Yes, I totally agree. This seems to be a no-brainer, and I'd be be very surprised and disappointed if they don't do that.
Also, are they ever going to stop the 'silent phase' and ask for donations from us poor folks??? There has to be enough of us to make at least something of a contribution??!!

Wonder if the box seats down the line will have permanent seating in the new renovations plans?

Why do you need to be asked? Do you think they'll say, "Oh, no, we can't take your money because we didn't ask you for it?"

"The ask" isn't for the diehards its for the preoccupied sideliners.
