Listening to Stevie P as I pulled into work on this pretty Friday morning. Stevie P was talking about how he was going to watch all this great college baseball and Astros baseball. Sounded like a kid in a candy shop. To my thought, Stevie was talking about the match ups and he mentioned Florida-Florida State. "Wow what a matchup, two in state rivals." Seems pretty innocuous, until you realize...that could be the Cajuns & Tigers...but they playin.

You would think with all the running down they are doing of us and our University, this would be a great rivalry with rich history. But it's not. It's not even close to being a rivalry. And that's sad. It's the state monolith that gobbles up all the funds and talent, and a scrappy band of misfits trying to topple the monolith. Competition is good for business. I don't know who is 100% to blame. Prolly equal parts us and them. Us for the Authement years where athletics was an afterthought. Them for...well you know. It's a shame we aren't getting ready for a heated in-state rivalry.

I usually do not listen to 1420 on Fridays because they have that awful program "Oh Brother" with Gary and Shannon Wilkerson. Who let those clowns on the air? They are horrible and nearly impossible to listen to.

Once we get to the 30 Hours till first pitch mark, can we please just talk about LSU in reference to the actual matchup and things that will matter in the series??

It's not embarrassing to state the truth of the matter. It's embarrassing to those who turn a blind eye to it for selfish reasons.

It's embarrassing to say the same things over and over again. We all know what's up. They don't want to hear it. You aren't going to "school" them and prove that you're right. So in the end, you just look childesh and petty by going on and on.

It's not childish and petty for an amputee to look at where there limb used to be and realize everything they accomplished in spite of it. That's the exact opposite of childish and petty. Everything this program has accomplished has been in spit of something, be it our own administration, or political jealousy from the East. Like I said before, people who try to minimize our struggle are doing it for selfish reasons.
