Seriously. Lee has improved the APR from the mess that it was becoming since Evans was here.

    Please

The entire APR fiasco is on Lee. Not Evans.

Evans era influence -which was minimal- went off the books at least 2 years ago.

It is my understanding the APR mess is 100% Lee's doing.

Since you are so sure, can you go back and find out what our APR rating was in Evans' final years? Compare that to what Lee's APR rating has been improving to for the past several years.

This is all rather weird considering McCoy's struggles in the classroom happened last spring yet he stayed eligible. Good for him, a lot of incentive to keep up and improve the effort.

At struggle time David Walker decided to keep Robert Lee because he was best suited to keep players eligible. I didn't buy it then or now, that does not make Robert a bad guy.

Do all struggling kids get scholarships yanked? I mean since when do coaches have higher standards than the University? HE PASSED.

Chicken-Egg did Robert have a crystal ball or was the scholarship yanking a morale killer?

Wow, blaming it on the coach? Look back to McCoy's travels over the last few years. I don't think academics were a strong point for the young man. There is a certain level of responsibility that the young man must have and show to remain eligible in order to stay on scholarship and play. This is Ryan's last year. What if his grades, which I doubt were never really that good, are just an afterthought for a young man who may be packing it in. He's playing much less now with Andrews playing and Lago still there and the team is not exactly winning a lot of games. If you have questions, I suggest you ask them to the proper people for which you can get the answers. Maybe coach saw that he wasn't going to class, his dedication to the team was diminishing and saw the writing on the wall.

Well... hopefully next year's new coach will be charged with doing that!

Evans was just under the APR for 1 year 03-04 his score was only .821 that was the season after the Daily Advertiser ran Anthony Johnson off and the year Michael Southall was unexpectantly spending time away.

Ironically coach Lee benifited (from an APR standpoint) when Southall returned.

How did the advertiser run Anthony Johnson off? He played as a senior didn't he?

Sorry it wasn't the Advertiser that caused a big stir with AJ it was Josh Peters with the Times Picayune.

The Advertiser went on a week long front page hallucinogenic writing binge based on false Berry Jordan allegations.

Ok. I remember the story in the Times. Duke, LSU and UL were highlighted. Final Four was in town that weekend. Guy trying to make a name for himself.

    Lee loses two???

Do we have a double-header tonight? ha...

On a serious note, I am looking forward to the game tonight. We have had
extra time to prepare for Denver since we had the open date on Saturday.

Denver is suppsed to be real good and runs that very patient, deliberate offense.
I am curious to see how the Cajuns defend this.

    Geaux Cajuns!!
