In all fairness, I should not get special treatment, there are a lot of people who give a lot of money. Again it's important to reiterate I'm not complaining I just hope we make a good showing this weekend.

I feel bad for the old timers who do not get credit for their lifetime of support. I work with a retired UL professor who donates $500 a year and has been doing so for at least 20 years, he also is a longtime baseball season ticket holder. Poor guy has donated well in excess of $10,000 over his lifetime. It stinks to see someone donate a couple thousand dollars this year and get tickets while he sits at home.

He keeps asking me if I got a call for tickets. Poor old guy actually thinks he is getting some with his $500 donation. I don't have the heart to tell him that he is not getting any.

Imagine donating half a million and BC you put it somewhere other than Rcaf it don't count? Or building an indoor facility but bc it wasn't given to RCAF it doesn't count? Imagine paying to install drainage and turf but bc it was not rcaf it don't count?

Loyal baseball fans are screwed bc odds are they won't get tickets through the University. But the Tigue is in bad shape and even with capacity crowds year in, year out, that's obviously not been enough to upgrade the joint and get the team the facility it deserves.

The options are let the average joes get priority and continue on this same path of no money for upgrades or cater to the heavy hitters when tickets are scarce and let a new Tigue help Robicheaux take this program to another level.

I am a loyal baseball fan. I got tickets. I donate $6000 per year to the RCAF and $1000 to the Diamond Club.
