Ready for some tiger gumbo this weekend
Ready for some tiger gumbo this weekend
Thanks for the kind words yall.
I can honestly tell you I'm not rooting for either team to advance, and not because of any loyalty to school or anything like that, it's simply because my profession requires me to be an impartial observer. That being said, we have some good stories planned for next week if they do advance.
----I am sure others will have their opinion, but I am shocked at your reply-----I want somebody covering my team that backs UL (that is what we want to be called) at least to the extent of their pulling for us----You make a living off of these guys spilling their guts out concerning their inner most feelings and you don't even wish that they win??? WOW
Oh give it a rest for once. There have been tons of personalities through the years come through our local paper that made it clear they weren't fans of our University.
We expect our "newscasters" to be unbiased. It gets discussed all the time. Fox vs. CNBC etc. Liberal vs. conservative. But suddenly when it comes to sports the expectation is that the person should be biased??
What they should be is good at their job and have the ability to provide good accurate coverage at a minimum (local paper isn't getting that done today) and if you want to hit the homerun then you should be able to write imaginative articles that provide an angle that others haven't seen. (thanks Luke)
You've made it abundantly clear you are no fan of Lukes. Instead of whining here about it why don't you take it up with his bosses...if you like I'll even spend ten seconds researching who it is and give you their contact information.
