Never said it us a great article nor did I miss the shots he takes at his. But he died take shots at a State and its fans as well. Name me one other writer in this state that has done that. As good of a writer as Luke is I don't think you'll see him take a shot at State or his fellow alums about their attitude towards UL.

    Basically the opposite of "upstart"
Ok...then explain his "Want to be State U" bs. Are you taking up for him? Or is this one of your 'play on words' things?
This is the first article I have ever read from him where the tip of Nick Saban's _____ wasn't pounding the back of his throat.
Either way, his writing fn sucks.

Why take a shot at all? Just write a good fn article about a big series coming up. Go read the article about grinders and compare the two.

A smaller upstart...clearly he does not follow college baseball outside of the SEC

Again, I never said it was a great, or even good, article. And your question of why even take a shot is valid. However, my point is that at least he shot both sides. In the past the incoming would be in one direction only...ours. (See any of Ted Lewis' old articles)

Something like nine threads of not caring on TD.

and I now officially "don't care " about the Wal-mart droppings opinions. I will start caring if UL/Louisiana/ULL/Louisiana-Lafayette advances to CWS. Then I might choose to view the ensuing NOT CARING meltdown. LOL

Things like this from Perfect Game will just burn up their fan base even more. I'm sure some of them will be quick to correct this writer in the comments section because after all, they don't care. Also, the writer referred to them as Louisiana State earlier in the article. I'm sure that will sit well with them too.

*LSU had a convincing 2-0 win over UNC Wilmington to advance to the Super Regionals after playing in only their third game this weekend. Jared Poche worked the first 8 2/3 innings, allowing just six hits and a walk to pick up the win, although he ws pulled from the contest after giving up a two-out double to UNCW first baseman Corey Dick. Parker Bugg was quickly summoned and he did his job, fanning Andy Austin to end the threat, and the game. The Tigers will host the University of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.

    • The Ragin' Cajuns advanced to Baton Rouge with a 5-2 win over Rice. It was a true team effort for Louisiana, has six different players recorded base hits and scored each of the five runs with four different hitters driving them in. In addition, three pitchers combined to hold the Owls' offense to two runs, was Evan Guillory went the first five with Will Bacon and Dylan Moore combining for four shutout innings of relief.

Oh how I remember the NAME CHANGE times of the past when LSU was asked if they wanted to change their name to the U of Louisiana and the answer was no but that we can't use it!!! BTW although we were LA LAFed the most, at times on TV we were called Louisiana!!!

"LSU would forfeit before they would call us Louisiana," Cajun Jack tweeted on that matter Monday.
He may be a troll but the guy sure does know a good source to quote when he sees one
