-----Just wondering if we are better than LSU at any positions??? If we aren't than I know we are close to their abilities like Trahan at SS---Surely last year we had some positions where we had better players!! Just wondering since I don't know anything other than the CF for LSU from Lafayette!!!
I can tell you this: Trahan is expected to be drafted as a MLB shortstop, while Alex Bregman is projected as a MLB prospect at 2nd.
I'm not saying Trahan is better, because offense is obviously not factored into that statement, but Trahan seems to exhibit something Bregman does not as a position player.
No doubt. I think we can keep LSU's offense in check with our pitching but I think we can bank on them scoring more runs than Rice or UH with their offense. That said, I really liked our approach at the plate this weekend. If we can carry that into next weekend and get Trahan and Trosclair back in this mix, there's no question this is a winnable series
Play small ball baby
Umm...I'm going to disagree greatly. We're in for a very tough matchup. Our guys are going up against the #2 seeded overall team in the country.
Not saying the upset can't be done. I wouldn't put anything past this team. What was supposed to be a rebuilding year with a bunch of youngsters, as evidenced by very inconsistent regular season play, has turned into this team getting at least just as far as last year's awesome team.
We're playing with House Money, gentlemen. We have been pretty much this whole Regional tournament. Our guys should go into the games this weekend relaxed, no pressure.
