I was speaking with Brenn Conrad at the hotel last night. He said that Milhorn so wants the ball. His confidence is booming. That confidence is only growing as he delivered again.

Romero has impressive stuff. That ESPN gun could not have been correct. I have seen Romero consistently in the 93-94 mph range earlier in the year. He seemed to be throwing hard today, based on my little iPhone screen (was at an outdoor concert this afternoon).

Yea he was hitting 93-94 with his fastball. He was still pitching 93 in the 8th in fact. Very impressive

Off of work. What an impressive win. !!! This is THE team that has so over achieved that they dont know they are not supposed to be here at this moment. This is ROBE's best coaching season ever. Him and his staff have really pulled off the unthinkable

What a glorious supper with friends.

Called winning the game on a HBP pitch before it happens...check
Cajuns win, much to the dismay of Brokeback/corn dog alum, which had to hold their tongue...check
Flip dial and watch lady corn dogs yak against Michigan...trifecta.

Cajun stat of the game, UH o fer with RISP.

    God is good.

Romero's velocity on his fastball was up and consistent for the entire game, even into the 9th. He started to lose command when he faced Butler in the 9th and that was ultimately his undoing.

You could tell he was beginning to lose his command in the 8th inning. Cajuns went into the 9th inning patient, as they did vs. Rice.

LOL... as for the Rice forum... Rice did have a pitching meltdown... but I don't consider UH to have had a meltdown. Romero pitched a gem, gassed out, and since we worked hard to keep it a 1 run contest defensively... our patient/good batting punished UH in one inning... just like their only punishment of us (solo HR) was in a single inning (and required no patience).

Completely agree. We grinded out a win today. Pitchers and defense kept us in the game against a guy who was dominating. We waited it out, stayed within 1, and when he started to wear down, we got it done.

Rice's relievers soiled themselves and we stole that one. Either way, the goal is to advance, and that's what we've done.
