And one last thought on this...anyone, journalist or not, who comes to UL and sees how our crowds treats visiting fans and how much passion we have. If they don't come away thinking Louisiana...I don't think they ever will. Those people are lost causes.

This happens all the time here. When Stearns finally came out for Baylor a few weeks ago, Turnbull when Bama was here last year, Hill for the conference tourney this year. Fans in the diamond sports always appreciate a warrior on the mound/circle regardless of affiliation.

That is a little generous, you might be combining his academic constraints with his athletics prerogative.

I think athletics and academics both cross his desk regularly. Athletically we want to be called one thing, academically something else. That being said I have never heard of him calling us Louisiana Lafayette at any function i've been to.

I would think calling someone by their preferred name isn't a big deal. Especially given the fact that some get that some universities already get that treatment. I don't believe that to be too much of a stretch. As with any thing.. there will be those in our corner and those that are not. Its a long term battle that won't be won overnight.

Please call us Louisiana... or The Ragin Cajuns.

Our press guide and anything coming out of the SID's office has Louisiana on it. He knows our quest to be known as Louisiana. There is nothing stopping him from calling us Louisiana. Have to wonder why he doesn't just call us UL/Louisiana. Has anyone simply asked him?

Maybe somebody called him a dckhead? And I'm not directing that at anyone but he very well could have had vile exchange with one out fans before he ever knew anything about the name thing. A lot of our fans assume everyone knows and everyone does it in spite.

Being that I sat with him at a game at our field in person, I don't get that impression. If he had an agenda, he wouldnt go out his way to watch and write about us. He doesn't just report on the games, he puts us on the home page and has opinion pieces... Very flattering ones at that.

i want red because it has louisiana on the chest. so if we can go gray, then red, then coin toss for the monday and go red on gray or white bottoms, thats my pick
