We are going to get "Lafayette" and "ULL" alot this week and this weekend. It would be nice if those that respected us and loved us chose not to go that route. I'm not bashing anyone. I'm just stating my opinion.

Either way, with him writing last year about the Tigue being the "Best Baseball Atmosphere" he's ever witnessed, and re-iterating it again this year........I don't think telling him on twitter to go fly a kite and quit acting like you are doing us a favor by being here is a way to thank him.

I would like to be called ul or Louisiana as much as the next guy. To smash the guy who has done nothing but help elevate our baseball program is ludicrous. I rather keep winning and getting great publicity way more than this name issue. But I am sure many of you would rather hold on to the name than get w's.

I'm with you and Scott on this one. Let's not make a guy who is a major promoter of us a detractor. I have no problem with telling him our name preference but if you do, please don't be an _______ about it

Plus the dude was on TV again last night. What a guy. He gets more facetime than you.

We only wish we had 1/2 the passion Melrock has for this baseball program.

It's as if he sits in the seats that get him the most facetime. I feel like he is in every big UL broadcast that I watch.

Dating back to last season, this guy has given the baseball program the best national coverage/press of ANY kind since Omaha. And our own MelRock decides to bash him on twitter.........smh

I'm not here to bash MelRock. I know he does a lot for the program and is the ultimate Cajunfan. This guy has the best name in college baseball writing, and possiblythe most influence of any cbb writer, and the largest audience. I just don't think taking jabs at him is in the best interest of our program.

And Michael Guidry....you look like a douche when you tell him to "say my name" like you're holding your little brother by the throat until he cries uncle.

That's because he goes to every UL event that he can, and usually the cameras seek him out, just like when you watch a Saints game, you will always see Whistle Monster, the Joker, and all of the other Saints "Superfans" during the game.
