Jarrett Leblanc of Hathaway becomes the first Louisianan to break to 4 minute mile barrier on Louisiana soil.
Just was amazing to watch in person. Congrats to Jarrett!

Jarrett is my cousin's ex-BF. Good guy. Congrats to him.
He out-kicked me the last half mile his Jr. Year in high school to win a 5k in Rayne, obviously some time ago as I couldn't approach that type of run these days.
ULXRunner will tell you it never took much to outkick me, though, and he'd be right.
I could only dream of mile times that fast. Had to settle for 26 6:10s instead.
I been around and competed in track my whole life, never had I witnessed a sub 4 mile. 1. It isn't raced often. 2. It I isn't cared about in this region of America. Jarrett is a class act, and very easy to root for. I'm very proud he was the individual to do this!
The fastest mile I have seen run in person was a 4:04 when I was a freshman in high school in Texas at Klein High a guy from Klein named Jerry Labonte
Yes Roger Bannister 1954, 3:59.4!
Geez Boomer it is quicker to google than to ask the question. He was the first high schooler to do a sub four mile.
