This may have been mentioned. My heart goes out for Leger not getting a win. I know Milhorn held them but Leger held them form the 3rd inning with no runs.......just sad.
I was hoping someone might have this too. Sure sounded like both Jay and coach were choked up postgame, too. I know I was.
I know we've been a lot deeper into the tourney before, even playing in the final four in America. But damn, this one's right up there with some of my favorite cajuns moments. What these dudes accomplished was nothing short of spectacular.
Anyway, I was really bummed I missed Jay's call.
I usually stay calm while watching our games. I did jump a little after Bear's FG in the NO Bowl and after we held Ga. State at the end of the 2014 SBC basketball championship game. When Trosclair hit it out today, I did show a little excitement even though I was alone. Huge Cajun moment today.
The guy we faced today ends the season with zero losses. I promise you Leger would rather be himself than 10-0 Hill.
Man, I'm so pumped still. What a moment.
I had my radio on and espn3 watching even though the video feed was 1:10 seconds behind Jay. When Jay called it I can't remember what he said. I was waiting for the video feed to catch up, then I screamed. My wife came running from the kitchen to my office to pick me off the floor. I for the best of me can't remember jays call......but if it was like the kick that won the bowl game I can only say it must have been something for the ages.........
It didn't sound like Jay thought it was a home run initially. He said something like "that's a deep fly ball." Then, as the ball kept carrying he got more and more enthusiastic. I can't remember his exact words either.
Last 3 days: 4 wins, 4 runs given up. Outstanding performance by this pitching staff.
