    Everything right now is lagniappe. These are really kids. So many underclassmen on this team, but these seniors have left their mark on how a team is supposed to play and what it takes to win. Man, I'm so proud of these kids.

    Aren't most of the starting position players upperclassmen?

    Edit...went check the roster.

    5 juniors
    4 seniors

    Other than pitching, we are not young.

    After today's game was over I thought of the post I created Wednesday evening which is shown below. The last sentence especially comes to mind;

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Today's game was as frustrating a Cajun event as I have ever followed. I know the guys hurt more than we ever will due to the sweat equity they but into the program. That is especially true for Powell and Trosclair due to ninth inning troubles. However to give the game away on 2 plays many 12 year olds make makes it extremely disappointing. If some want to use the term "inexcusable" I understand as if it was ever warranted, it is in this situation. What appears to be a lack of focus in such a critical time is especially troubling as the season may be over for all practical purposes now.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Obviously the guys had more faith in themselves than I did. Of course it is fitting that one of the guys who struggled in the ninth on Wednesday had the big lick today. That ball may still be traveling. It just goes to show that the world knows now not to ever question the fight of a Cajun as long as he or she can breathe. Finally, I repeat my frequent phrase that I don't think many appreciate enough. Every win is PRECIOUS. That is of course especially true today.

    Didn't Conrad pop up his last sac bunt attempt?

    It was a great baseball game considering all levels of play. Even though we sweated on the edge of our seats for 3 hours, we can celebrate tonight and not stress over whether or not we are invited tomorrow to the big dance.
    Sleep well my Cajun peeps.

    I don't know if this has been covered....does the belt get two teams in now?

    No. S. Alabama's RPI is in the 80s. There are about 40 teams ahead of them in line. No chance for us either, had we lost.
