Compare that to LSU, who starts game 1 at 9pm in Baton Rouge.

Thankful for afternoon games this time.
    Thanks for the info.

Auburn will be tough. We are second in the nation in scoring behind Oklahoma and Auburn is 4th behind Michigan. Their OOC schedule wasn't that impressive but they put up some decent numbers in conference as well. LSU seems to be one of the few teams that could hold the run count down on them.

Against common opponent Alabama they lost 6-0, 13-3, and won 13-12. Obviously know how they did against South Al.

Our hitters need to be hitting on all cylinders because it is highly unlikely we are shutting them down.
Is their pitching suspect? If so, I'd be nervous if I was Auburn.

Stearns is very good. Any idea what Auburn's pitching's like?

They rank 10th in the SEC with an overall ERA of 3.47. Here's their pitchers stats (updated as of today according to ESPN.com)..
    M. Harper, 3.34 ERA, 12-4 W-L
    R. Walters, 2.88 ERA, 18-3 W-L
    G. Aucoin 3.63 ERA, 9-2 W-L
    L. Davis 4.13 ERA, 22-2 W-L

Offensively, they're ridiculous. 2nd in the SEC in BA, 1st in slugging, 1st in OBP, hits, runs scored, RBI's. Jordan and Christina are gonna have their work cut out for them next weekend.

edit: No clue how they compare nationally, I'm too lazy to go look it up.

E-Freakin-Normous double play turned by the Cajuns. Ari Hawkins flies out to LF, Shellie Landry guns down Landrith as she tries to tag.
To those who frequent softball games, we saw this same play about a month ago. That play actually didn't even make me leave my seat. The one we turned in the next inning with bases loaded did though.

Team ERA of 3.53. Good enough for 101st in the country. Cajuns have a team ERA of 2.10 and are sixteenth in the country.

They can run three different pitchers out against us. Walters is their best; a lefty with an ERA of 2.88 with 105 strikeouts. Davis and Harper are both righties and have seen a lot of action but not quite as good of numbers as Walters.

If we show up this series is done in two....if we don't show up this series is done in....two.

When you get to the last sixteen teams in the country it should be competitive and I suspect this series will be just that.

Glad the sixteen didn't advance. I don't think they really should have hosted anyway.

    Awesome.

My 7 year old son already had a mad crush on Sami after two great plays she made at third yesterday. His heart palpitations are off the charts now! I think he's watched that walkoff like 10 times. LOL
