  1. UL Softball UL softball crushes Weber State in opener, 11-0

    The game didn't start until 11:11 p.m. due to a 2:15 rain delay in the second inning of the first game of the NCAA Lafayette Regional on Friday at Lamson Park.

    On TV, that was the LOUDEST 1am softball crowd you will ever hear in your life. I watched a very exciting SEC championship game between Tennessee and Auburn, and it was not even close.

    I drug my wife out for the game last night. She kept asking me "do they serve coffee?" The home runs kept wakeing her up......

    I wouldn't advise drugging her to get her to a game. But hey, she's your wife.

    Christina was PHENOMENAL last night - total command. As good as I've ever seen her. That's an awesome tandem between Wallace and Hamilton...

    With three runs in their final two at bats the 11th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team topped 18th-ranked Baylor 3-1 in Saturday's NCAA Lafayette Regional winner's bracket final at Lamson Park.

    It was the fact that it wasn't a pleasure cruise that made Saturday's 3-1 win over the No. 15-ranked Baylor Bears so beautiful in the eyes of UL coach Michael Lotief.
