Nobody has brought up the good pub we got on the show.

There was a segment (at the 40 minute mark) where Jessica Mendoza and Michele Smith gave their picks for 3 categories; Home Field Advantage, Breakout Star and Wildcard.

Jessica gave the Home Field Advantage to UL; calling the Cajun fans the best in the country.

Michele named Lexie Elkins as her Breakout Star.

Nice, very nice!

That was good pub. Considering ESPN are all SEC hacks, I was pretty impressed. Not sure how the NCAA HR leader can be a "break out star" in the regional, but whatev.

Saw an interview with their coach at the selection show, and he had the demeanor like, "well, we're going to go over there and try our best" like SwAC basketball teams say playing against Kentucky in the first round.

Like, well we didn't fare so well in one game, but we were neck and neck in another, so I think we can give them a run for their money.

Doesn't sound like he exudes confidence that they're just as talented as any team in the field to me.

But I guess we'll see.

I was very impressed with their pitcher in the first game who held us to one hit while they had two. She followed that up with shutting out Oklahoma in Norman in their weekend series. She's very capable of putting up good numbers.

My guess is Streams pitches every inning. This tournament is spread out a little more than it usually is.

Their game is at 5:30. Their game with us (if we both win) wouldn't be until 3:30 the next day. The championship isn't until 6pm the next day. There's no noon turnaround or anything like that.
