Hopefully Kentucky getting in, it means super regional teams from last yr get in automatically, hey baseball committee are you listening????

Our fan support will be instrumental. I know our fans are 2nd to none but we need to be as special as ever and will these Cajuns to the win! If we expect the best, we have to give the best! I expect it! Hope those other teams are ready!

I'm not worried about our regional at all. I believe in our girls. I believe we already put it on Baylor and Miss State doesn't scare me. Nor does Auburn. I watched the SEC championship game.

Brain do you have any idea what happened why we slipped so much. Is it a matter of not wanting us matched up with LSU or a rematch with Alabama. By not doing those things the committee felt they were doing us a favor by not sending us to the left coast for a super regional. I feel the sunbelt got no respect at all and they just threw us and S Al into any ole regional. I do feel good about our chances and Auburn isn't a far drive for a super regional.

Fully agree. We got this, we'll take out whomever is in our way to make the WCWS.

This team is driven on several levels this year.

The committee did not blindly defer to the RPI this year unlike years in the past. It wasn't just the Cajuns who were seeded different from their RPI. At a quick glance I don't see a pattern but obviously some other metrics came into play.

That could be a good thing or not......

I think these were the RPI rankings before the conference tournaments. RPI are now online and we are #11 after the conference tournaments.

Here are the top 16 teams and their actual RPI rankings
    Florida (1)
    Oregon (4)
    Michigan (5)
    Auburn (3)
    LSU (2)
    Alabama (6)
    UCLA (8)
    Tennessee (9)
    Missouri (10)
    Oklahoma (14)
    Arizona (16)
    Louisiana (11)
    Georgia (17)
    James Madison (12)
    Notre Dame (19)

Top 16 RPI teams that didn't get a host site:
    Hofstra (13)
    UCF (15)

    RPI rankings of our regional:
    Louisiana 11
    Baylor 22
    Mississippi State 33
    Weber State 84

To be honest, I was more worried last year considering we had Texas and they had beaten us earlier in the year.
I'm more aligned with your thinking. I'm not overly concerned with the regional, I just don't like the SR pairing. I think the #13 seed was too far of drop. I would have been happy with #11 or #12.

GaSt had a bad record against the RPI top 25/50. Committee didn't respect them for playing a good schedule and not winning many of the games, although they did reward Kentucky for doing similar. See the bias? I do.

#11 or #12 seeding would have sent us to BR or UCLA respectively.

I would rather go to BR than Auburn but auburn is better than California In my opinion.

Looks like G5 schools in the top 16 were the big losers in this one. JMU with RPI of 12 and #15 seed and us with RPI of 11 and #13 seed. UCF and Hoftstra both top 16 and don't host while ND with RPI of 19 and can't even make it out of the first day of the ACC tourney get to host.
