That looks awesome. No more blankety-blank tarp.
Frenchie thanks for the photos they are great. If you get a chance ask them what the infill is going to be.
Pro Grass does a rubber infill and a rubber/sand combo. Just curious. I would imagine they would go with the rubber/sand.
Frenchie,
Thanks again for the photos. I have a favor to ask. When it is all complete would you please put all the pictures you have from start to finish on one thread? Your pictures have been great in that they have not only told, but shown us the story from beginning to end. You get an A+!!!
I think it will be a rubber/sand. The infield will be a shorter turf. After all the field is layed out they will cut the section out where the warning track will be. The foul lines, home plate area and base lines will be cut out with a clippers and the lines will be glued and layed in. At least that's what one of them told me........
I love the color. It's going to look very nice
While I'm not totally sold on the fake stuff I think this will be great for a number of reasons. Our existing field was in bad shape and something had to be done. The weather delays/cancellations will be minimal. Players today seem to like it. Most importantly the maintenance is pretty much done with giving our coaches and players a lot of extra time to do other things of more importance.
I can smell the adult beverages and hot peanuts already.

Infield will be rubber/sand.
Outfield will be rubber.
Warning track will be sand.
On the Cajun construction cam it looks as if they are almost finished getting the carpet laid in the outfield.
Good weather at least through Wednesday and probably Thursday. Hopefully that gives them enough time to get it all down. I would imagine from that point things get a lot easier.
