Thread: Young arms breathe new life into Cajuns' staff

  1. UL Baseball Young arms breathe new life into Cajuns' staff

UL — Here's a number that ought to make all the stat heads out there look twice: The Louisiana baseball team’s current ERA of 3.41 would qualify as the squad’s lowest since the Ragin’ Cajuns went to the 2000 College World Series with a 3.31 mark.

Yes it is Boomer......BUT, most losses are more due to offensive production that is down. Cajuns flat out pounded the holy schist regularly against most decent to mediocre teams last year. If your team sucked (exception being UNO game), game was over by the middle innings. It's run production/batting average/QAB%/power numbers that are all noticeably down.

Errors don't help your ERA because, by definition, the runs don't score without those errors. That's why they're unearned.

    Costing us ballgames? Yeah... probably.
