The second-seeded St. Thomas More Cougars rolled to a playoff win on Friday evening at St. Thomas More High School, defeating the 11th-seeded North Desoto Griffins 10-0 in the opening game of their best-of-three Class 4A playoff matchup.

The game went only five innings, as St. Thomas More won in five-inning mercy-rule fashion.
