We are an elite softball program...period.....it does not matter how many stars our signed prospects have...what result we get with them is what matters
Oregon only has one player from in state? How exactly are they adhering to the scholarship limits?
Say what you want but i'd gladly pay my money to see these young ladies play and if we don't host a super that just mean me and the boys get another vacation, road trip. It was one series for me the biggest thing I take away from the weekend is how valuable Mike is to the program. The girls will forget about this weekend while sweeping Monroe for the conference championship.
The only programs that beat us have recruiting advantages we don't. It may be the case that we could out recruit them for a national prospect here and there. And maybe we're ignoring that ability. I'm not too sure about that. But to pretend we've done what we've done, and only fall inches short against the giants... that we somehow have a recruiting card we're not playing... is comical to me. We became a powerful softball program despite our school status. We can't just walk into any living room in the country, with our softball pedigree, and take the cream of the high school crop away from the billionaire colleges. "We've been elite for a long time" only applies to our softball results. That isn't the only tool others have when recruiting young ladies and their parents. They've been elite in other areas that impress young athletes. Do you think the SBC is a recruiting advantage for our coaches? Don't you think it alone limits us?
