Really surprised by all the errors over the weekend. Very uncharacteristic of this team. Winning that 3rd game might have gotten us into the top 8. Feel really bad for Haley.

You may disagree with it, but there is some accuracy to his statement. Look at the recruits of our other sports. We ask the question of our other recruits, "What other programs were recruiting them," "Who was on their finalist list," "How many stars do they have," etc. If you look at where our softball recruits come from, very, very few of them are even noticed by programs that vie for the national title, much less get recruited by them.

The one benefit that separates our program and all others is absolutely Michael Lotief. But, no matter what improvements he is able to make in them, the lack of experience against top flight competition will eventually show through when they finally face enough of it. You cannot go from a day on the beach (Appalachian State) to the middle of a burning house (Oregon) and expect to react the same. That doesn't mean the Cajuns can't beat that level of competition, but the odds are against them more often than not.

Regardless of our elite softball status, we are still a unique program when it comes to recruiting. The class of programs, the only list of programs that we're ever going to be potentially swept by, is a very short list of programs that have recruiting advantages that we can't sniff on. To revert to evaluating our recruiting (and hence our players) in the aftermath of this particular weekend, is comical. We build and maintain an elite program, that isn't even supposed to be an elite program, and when we fall to a program that has all the assets in the world, our analysis comes back with "we don't recruit correctly"? Hilarious. Put down your tea and crumpets and look at yourself in the mirror, my friends. We may have a recruiting system that takes players and builds them into elite teammates... as opposed to teams that recruit elite people... but to think we have better options... is comical. There's hidden benefits in humility, accessibility, coachability, and chemistry... that is in our coaching/player system DNA. We are unique... and we actually better hope that doesn't change. But, we are not an entitled elite softball program. We're an internally forged elite softball program. Still the most special of it's kind on the planet. Now put down the tea and crumpets.

this is ridiculous we lose to the number one or two team in the country and now we have a recruiting problem. One bad call at Alabama and we are not having this discussion I too feel bad about the loss but we are an elite program that's why we went into the series as the number nine team in the country. Shame on anyone who looks down on theses girls they have played there butts off this year and every year as far back as I can remember. Don't forget we return every position starter minus Christina and Jordan next year and we aint done this year.

No, it's not comical. I am a Big supporter of Cajun softball and what this coaching staff does with the players they recruit. However, 9 times out of 10we lose these games Dan it has been happening for a long time now. In, recruiting you can't always look at the potential for development. Most of the time you have to look at the talent in front of your face that the rest of the nation sees.

This program has been "one of the top programs in the nation for years". So don't tell me we can't compete with other programs for TOP players. It is usually the top pitchers that other programs have that we don't. Yes, I know we have some good pitchers. But you can't tell me we have a pitcher like Oregon has EVERY year

I'm not giving up on these girls. If Walace is on her game, I still think we can compete for the Nat. Championship. GEAUX CAJUNS

That would have been a very different series...IMO...had THEY traveled across two-thirds of the country...two time zones...and played in front of OUR fans.

That's my point. We can compete in out Conference with what we have. We are the best, we win in the SBC. The next step is to compete with the elite teams. Yes we win some of those like we almost won the third game. Oregon saw that and put in their best in the circle to prevent that from happening....the next step is what I am looking for.

9 times out of 10 we lose these games? Wko was the first team to go to Arizona and deny them a trip to OKC? AS A FOUR SEED?

Who beat the #1 team in America in OKC? Hint: it wasn't Oregon.

Who has been to 6 college world series, gone deep in 3 of them and played on championship Monday in one of them?

Who has gone to Baton Rouge THREE times and sent a highly ranked LSU team home?

    we always lose these?

    Shall I continue?

    Take a deep breath, everybody.
