Thanks. Both of those are Big Sky I believe. But 6'11" is still 6'11''

Mike Lotief has made National Championship contenders out of athletes no one regards as "special" except Cajun Country.

I'm not too worried about "other offers." Can the dude play?

JJ Davenport kept us in an NCAA tournament game when McBuckets couldn't miss. How many offered him?

If dude can play, then let's do it.

Since we didn't use the remaining scholarship on a PG, does that lead you to believe that the coaching staff thinks the Lafayette High PG will be eligible?

Even if he is not there looks to be plenty of depth at PG. Wright, Gravett, and T. Williams and Shepherd can run the point if he has to.

Spoke to Davis Monday night, he said he is close. But it could be the they believe Shepherd, Gravett and Williams will be much improved to help.

If Shawn leaves and is not drafted, is there an APR that we'll take?

The NCAA provides APR adjustments for student-athletes who leave in good academic standing for professional athletic careers.

As for Stalcup, several D1 coaches have told me he's a solid player with potential given his success so far despite a lack of experience. Not as good as Long but should be a nice addition if he can adjust to D1, accept his role as a rebounder/defender, score a bit & stretch the defense with his mid-range shot.

Towards the beginning of last season Kande was getting some minutes. I thought that he might have turned the corner and work his way into a starting role his Junior and senior seasons. His minutes fell off in the later part of the season and no one is talking about him in this thread about centers.

    was he injured last season?
Is he a scholarship player or walk-on?
Did he just not develop as Marlin would have hoped or is he still a work in progress.

And 8.2 ppg is 8.2 ppg

Hate to be negative, but we're jacked about a kid that can't score double digits (at 6'11") in junior college? Idk

I'll just add that his strengths are rebounding & defense, plus Snow College was a deep team with two D1-bound guards (21.8 PPG & 14.4 PPG) & six players averaging seven points per game.

I was just looking at the official roster and saw Stalcup is not listed. Anyone know the story on this?
