The University of Louisiana’s Department of Marketing and Hospitality will host nationally acclaimed chef John Besh_on Wednesday.

Besh had planned to make a presentation on UL’s campus in February as part of the B.I. Moody College of Business Administration’s Louisiana Impact Series, but his visit was postponed.

The restaurateur’s rescheduled appearance coincides with the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration’s Ragin’ Business Week. The observance offers opportunities for high school students to learn more about the University’s business programs and acknowledges current business students.

Besh will give an interactive presentation at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Student Union Ballroom. A book signing for his cookbooks will follow. “Cooking from the Heart,” Besh’s newest cookbook, revisits the locations, lessons, and mentors that shaped his culinary journey. This event is free and open to the public.

UL’s Career Services will offer free career guidance and social media management seminars at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Room 103 of Moody Hall.

A business student appreciation event is scheduled for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Moody Hall.

“Ragin’ Business Week is a great opportunity for potential students to see how the Moody College of Business can help them succeed and also allow our students to witness our faculty and staff’s dedication through engaging and unique programs,” said Dr. Gwen Fontenot, interim dean.
