A recap of UL softball for week ending 4-19-15

USA had their whole series rained out? That ought to just about do it for the Sun Belt race.

No, I wish USA would have gotten the games in (all three) ... Then there would have been a chance of a loss.

Now ... If USA sweeps Troy (17-3) and UL only wins 2/3 at ULM (19-4), USA wins the regular season. This is no different than if USA won all three games this past weekend.

Not playing this weekend was a huge advantage for USA. Meanwhile, as it turned out, UL played two meaningless games at Appalachian State (of course, this was not known at the time) ... unless more than one game is rained out in Monroe this weekend. As it stands now, if the Cajuns do not play another conference game, they win the regular season and are the #1 seed in the conference tournament.

Nothing like quality batting practice prior to a series with Oregon! Confidence level at the plate should be sky high. I want them swinging away this weekend!
