When people think of big tech companies, it is easy to think of them having little impact on the environment. Since their products are digital, there isn’t an environmental cost to their development and distribution right? Wrong. All tech companies have many climate-controlled buildings full of people using electricity, and software is not completely free either. While digital goods and products don’t require paper or shipping, they do require power hungry data centers to be stored and delivered.
